| Comments： | Insert contains MspI (2), Sau3AI (2), TaqI, HaeIII (7), ClaI, and AvaI (3) sites (not including the polylinker). Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--3.2, 1.5; SalI--4.7; PstI/HindIII--3.2, 0.86, 0.5. Contains a functional cDNA for cytoplasmic thymidine kinase which is close to full length. pMTK4 detects genomic HindIII fragments of 23 kb and 4.7 kb in C57BL/10J, C3H/HeJ, A/HeJ, and BALB/cJ mice. It also detects 9.3 kb and 3.7 kb fragments also present in Ltk- cells, suggesting the latter are not functional cytosolic Tk genes. |
