| Comments： | Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): HindIII--4.4, 1.0; EcoRI--7.8; NotI--uncut; BamHI--7.8; PstI--4.4, 1.0, 1.0, 1.0; EcoRI/BamHI--4.4, 3.4. Y-367 detects at least 4 loci in the euchromatic long arm and in the short arm of the Y chromosome (distal euchromatic long arm; close to centromere, either q or p; and 2 on p). This probe is useful in studies of duplications and deletions of portions of the Y chromosome. Hybridization with HindIII digested DNA from normal males reveals at least 8 restriction fragments, ranging in size from 0.8 kb to 20 kb. |
