Comments: | Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): HindIII--7.0, 2.7; BamHI--4.3, 2.8, 2.5; EcoRI--6.6, 3.3; PstI--4.0, 2.8, 1.3, 0.8, 0.7, 0.5; SalI--9.8. The insert contains the entire coding sequence (4 exons) plus upstream and downstream sequences. The EcoRI fragment in the insert is smaller than the genomic sequence it detects, suggesting truncation during construction. Only a partial sequence of promoter, intron I, all exons and introns II and III is available. Insert is expressed in transformed murine B6 fibroblasts. A 0.7 kb PstI fragment which is upstream of the TATA sequence is unique and was used to map the gene. It does not cross-hybridize with hamster or mouse DNA. |
