Comments: | Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): NcoI/SalI--4.5, 3.0; EcoRI--7.5; PstI--4.25, 2.25, 0.9; SacI--4.4, 1.95, 0.65, 0.4; SmaI--7.5. The insert contains the following restriction sites (kb from the 5 end): BglI--3.03; BglII--3.1; EcoRI--4.33; PstI--2.2, 2.4, 3.23, 3.28; PvuII--3.21, 3.28, 4.17; SacI--2.43, 2.58, 3.0; SmaI--2.33. An 0.8 kb PstI fragment of the insert hybridizes to the following fragments of human genomic DNA (kb): EcoRI--4.7; HindIII--7.2; BamHI--10.4; BglII--4.0; StyI--1.3. Detects a 9.0 kb EcoRI fragment of hamster genomic DNA. Contains a complete exon 2 (2.5 kb) plus upstream and downstream sequences. Exon 2 contains most of the 5 untranslated region, the complete coding sequence (nt 2182-3519 of the sequence record) and the complete 3 untranslated region.
