The vector contains the marker sup3-5, which suppresses ade6-704, and the tet repressor gene under control of the S. pombe adh promoter. When integrated into a strain of genotype h- ade6-704 leu1-32 ura4-D18, the resulting fission yeast strain, FY191 (ATCC ) produces a constitutive tetracycline repressor protein. |
