Comments: | Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI/HindIII--2.7, 1.5, 0.58; HindIII--4.9; SmaI--3.2, 1.6; XbaI--4.9; PstI--4.2, 0.6. Protein products from in vitro translation of RNA transcribed from pHTB linearized by HindIII are detected by monoclonal antibody J9. The molecular weights of these in vitro products are 57, 53, and 45 kDa. Insert includes a PstI site at 509; AvaI sites at 133, 979, 1525, 1617, and 1637; a BamHI site at 1801, and a HindIII site at 2022. Insert includes 5 untranslated sequences, a full coding sequence, and a truncated 3 untranslated sequence. Hybridizes with a 2.7 kb mRNA in human A431, KB, HepG2, WI38, and rat GH3 cell lines. A minor mRNA of 4.9 kb is detected in KB, HepG2, and WI38. Constructed by subcloning the 1.5 kb PstI/HindIII and the 0.5 kb PstI/PstI fragments from p5A5 (ATCC 59480/59481) into pGEM3. |
