Comments: | Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--4.4, 0.7, 0.58; BglII--6.0; EcoRV--4.4, 1.55; KpnI--6.0; BamHI--4.8, 1.2. Although there is a AATAAA sequence in the insert, is is 208 bp from the 3 end of the insert which does not contain poly(A). Thus this is probably not the authentic polyadenylation signal. Each end of the insert contains 20-22 dC/dG bp from the cloning procedure. The single long open reading frame encodes 289 amino acids, corresponding to a molecular weight of 32.1 kDa. |
