Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI/HindIII--4.4; EcoRI--10.0; BamHI--10.0; BamHI/EcoRI--5.0, 4.0; PvuII--4.4. Insert contains exons 11 and 12 as well as some intron sequence of the argininosuccinate synthetase gene. The population studied was CEPH (Centre dEtude du Polymorphisme Humain) families.
