Comments: | The insert contains XhoII, PstI, and PvuII sites. A 3 PvuII/EcoRI fragment (nucleotides 930 - 1420) has been used as a specific probe. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--4.0, 0.45; BamHI--4.5; EcoRI--3.3, 1.3; SmaI--4.5; SalI--4.5. Myf-4 is the myogenin homolog. This clone does not include the complete coding sequences, but extends from nucleotides 170 - 1420 and encodes the Myf homology motif (290 - 462). Coding sequences are 53 - 790. This clone detects a genomic EcoRI fragment of 6.5 kb and an mRNA of about 1.9 kb. |
