| Disease: | Dengue |
| Applications: | The antibody binds specifically to an idiotypic determinant on 3H5 anti-Dengue 2 antibody. Dengue 2 virus inhibits the binding of 18-26-4 antibody to 3H5. The antibody reacts with sera from mice immunized to Dengue 2 virus and also with human antibody in acute and convalescent human dengue patient samples. |
| Storage Conditions: | liquid nitrogen vapor phase |
| Derivation: | Animals were immunized with 3H5-1 (ATCC HB-46), a monoclonal antibody to Dengue 2 virus, conjugated to KLH (keyhole limpet hemocyanin). Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 mouse myeloma cells. The antibody binds specifically to an idiotypic determinant on 3H5 anti-Dengue 2 antibody. Dengue 2 virus inhibits the binding of 18-26-4 antibody to 3H5. The antibody reacts with sera from mice immunized to Dengue 2 virus and also with human antibody in acute and convalescent human dengue patient samples. |
