| Comments: | Sequence of this probe is given in Fig. 2, nucleotides 523-1314; encodes portion of amino acid sequence termed long homologous repeat B (LHR-B); contains coding sequences for CR1 tryptic peptides 41c and 34b. The insert detects mRNAs of 9 kb and 11 kb. It also detects multiple bands in BamHI and HindIII digests. HindIII RFLP correlates with CR1 expression on erythrocytes (7.4 high, 6.9 low). Can be used to detect CR2-specific sequences at low stringency. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism (in a panel of 5): BamHI, BglII, HIncII, HindIII, PstI, RsaI, TaqI. |
