| Product Format: | frozen |
| Storage Conditions: | -70°C or colder |
| Comments: | This item contains FBS of Guatemalan origin. Strain is also available as ATCC® VR-1414™, which does not require a USDA permit due to multiple passages of ATCC® VR-1396™ in US origin FBS. Herpesvirus saimiri strain C488 transforms human T lymphocytes to antigen- and mitogen-independent, but IL-2 dependent stable growth. Virus stocks are stable for months at 4C, but titer greatly reduced by freeze-thaw cycles. For methods of propagation see: Fickenscher and Fleckenstein, 1994. in: Methods in Molecular Genetics. (ed) K. W. Adolph, 4: 345-362, 1994. |
