| Comments: | Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--3.0, 1.65; BglII--4.65; HindIII--4.65; PvuII--2.45, 1.45, 0.75; PstI--3.7, 0.8, 0.15. The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5 end): BglII--0.463; NcoI--0.65; PstI--0.14, 0.9; PvuII--0.44; SacI--0.9; XbaI--1.44. The first 120 bp of the insert do not match the corresponding sequences of the full-length cDNA and presumably represent cloning artifacts. Detects human transcripts of 4.0 and 3.2 kb. The 764 bp PstI fragment (derived from the open reading frame) has been used as a probe for the human and rat sequences. Encodes 387 aa (of 637 aa) at the carboxyl end of the protein, and includes 398 nt of 3 untranslated sequence. The portion of this clone derived from the cDNA therefore corresponds approximately to nt 845 - 2400 of the sequence record. |
