| Comments: | Digest with HindIII will release two insert fragments of 1.5 and 1.7 kb. The vector is 3.0 kb. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): HindIII--2.9, 1.8, 1.7; PvuI--uncut; BamHI--3.7, 2.4; SalI--3.3, 2.9; EcoRI/HindIII--2.9, 1.8, 1.7; consistent with deposited DNA. This probe is 2 cM (LOD score = 14.96) from pD2 (DXS43), 3 cM (LOD score = 8.56) from 782 (DXS85) and 15 cM (LOD score = 6.05) from dic56 (DXS143). Codominant, X-linked segregation demonstrated in several large, 3-generation families. Low background with final wash in 0.1X SSC at 65C. Obtained from a recombinant lambda phage identified by a chromosome walk from pXUT23 (ATCC 57154/5). This is 22 kb from pXUT23. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: BamHI, BglII, HindiII, TaqI in a screen of 4 female Caucasians. |
