The ADH5 gene product, class III alcohol dehydrogenase, has been suggested to be the same as formaldehyde dehydrogenase. This clone includes nucleotides 1-2066 of the published sequence. The open reading frame extends from 3 to 1124. This clone does not contain the complete 3 untranslated region. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: ApaI, EcoRI, HindIII, ScaI (tested on 8 unrelated individuals). |
