| Comments: | HindIII+SalI releases an 0.7 kb fragment containing the 56 bp insert. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): SalI--4.3; HindIII--4.3; HindIII/SalI--3.6, 0.68; EcoRI--4.3; PstI--4.3. HindIII, PstI, TaqI, EcoRV, PvuII, XmnI, BstXI, BstNI detected polymorphisms in a population of 12 Caucasians. The EcoRI polymorphism was detected in a population of 29 Caucasians and 8 members of an inbred Venezuelan pedigree. Co-dominant segregation was demonstrated in one Venezuelan pedigree. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: MspI, TaqI, RsaI. |
