| Comments: | Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI/HindIII--3.1, 1.5; PstI--3.2, 0.86; EcoRI--4.5; HindIII--4.5; SmaI--4.5. Lathrop et al (HGM9) have used CEPH families to assign the following linkage group: cen- HP- CTRB- D16S20- pLC9- (APRT, D16S7)- qter. Derived from cosmid CF33-79. The number of alleles detected is a function of population size and gel resolution; in a study of >1000 unrelated individuals another lab claims to have detected over 100 alleles. Use standard hybridization and washing conditions, with a final wash in 0.1X SSC/0.1% SDS at 65C. |
