| Comments: | The insert includes the following restriction sites (nucleotide position according to the published sequence): SacI--451; HindIII--812; XmnI--1208; PstI--1525; EcoRI--1530. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): SalI--2.9, 2.4; EcoRI--3.8, 1.5; HindIII--3.6, 1.7; BamHI--5.3; PstI--4.4, 0.9; consistent with deposited DNA. The insert contains the complete coding sequence, including nucleotides 31-2471 of the published sequence. This probe detects transcripts of 2.8, 3.4, and 5.4 kb, which appear to differ in the lengths of the 3 untranslated regions. HTL-1, which contains a subset of the sequences in this clone, hybridized to human BamHI fragments of 12.0 and 6.7 kb, a mouse BamHI fragment of 15.0 kb, and a human EcoRI fragment of 8.3 kb. The 5 end of the insert is adjacent to the SP6 promoter. |
