| Comments: | This is a clone of the human WNT3 in the pBluescript M13 vector.
The insert was the result of a PCR amplification of mRNA from fetal tissue using a forward primer derived from the first exon of human WNT3 outside the coding domain and a set of degenerate reverse primers to the reverse complement of the mouse Wnt-3 gene corresponding to the last 4 amino acids and the stop codon. The product of this reaction was then PCR amplified again using another forward primer outside the protein encoding domain and a degenerate set of reverse primers to a highly conserved stretch FHWCC. Restriction digests of the clone gave the following results (in kb): NotI - 4; NotI/EcoRI - 3.0, 1.0; HindIII/XhoI - 4.0; SmaI - uncut; NotI/HindIII - 3.0, 1.0; HindIII - 4.0. - ATCC staff Due to the use of a gene internal 3 primer in the PCR reaction, the depositorxa0did not retrieve the complete protein encoding sequence of human WNT3.
