| Comments： | Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--2.7, 1.0; PstI--3.7; HindIII--3.7; BamHI--3.7; XbaI--3.7. Detects genomic EcoRI fragments of 5.5, 3.8, 3.0, 2.6, 2.0, and 0.9 kb in the human; 8.0 and 0.9 kb in the mouse; 6.5 and 0.9 kb in the rat; and 10.0, 6.0, 5.0, and 3.0 in the Chinese hamster. Excluding the linker sequences, the insert contains 1043 bp coding for alpha-fucosidase (80% of the processed enzyme). Recorded as not polymorphic by Collaborative Research, meaning either not polymorphic in 0.8% agarose gels, or difficult to work with.
