| Comments： | Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--2.7, 1.7, 1.7; BamHI--3.3, 1.7, 0.95; HindIII--6.3; PstI--2.8, 1.7, 1.65; XbaI--6.3. The open reading frame of this insert is 4 aa shorter than that described in the sequence record M33318, but the first Met encoded here appears to support initiation and the protein product is functional. The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5 end): PstI--0.13; PvuII--0.13; ClaI--0.49; StuI--0.7, 1.33; BamHI--0.78; SacI--1.34. The construct contains two copies of the insert in a head-to-tail orientation. |
