| Product Format: | test tube |
| Type Strain: | no |
| Comments: | characterization of mitochondrial genome comparison of methods of vitamin analysis water-soluble vitamins in cells and spent culture supernatants photosynthetic |
| Medium: | ATCC® Medium 891: Ochromonas medium |
| Growth Conditions: | Temperature: 25.0°C Duration: axenic Protocol: ATCCNO: 11532 SPEC: This strain is shipped as a growing test tube culture. Upon arrival, remove test tube from sealed plastic envelope, remove plastic seal from cap, loosen the cap, one half turn and incubate on a 15 degree horizontal slant at 20-25 C under 150 foot candles of light (40-50 (Einsteins/meter2 /second). Cells tend to clump on sides and bottom of tube. Subculture every 7-10 d. Screw the cap on tightly, invert the tube several times and aseptically transfer a 0.1 ml aliquot to a fresh tube of medium. Incubate as above. For Vitamin B12 assay, use B12 Ochromonas medium. |
