One of a series of host strains (ATCC 39623, 39624, 39627, 39628) defective in proteolysis for use in large-scale production of genetically engineered proteins with heat-inducible expression control sequences. Resistant to T6 infection. A P1 lysate was made from a strain carrying tsx::Tn10 and lon delta100. This lysate was used to transduce these mutations into GW4701. |
