| Comments： | This variant of S49.1TB.2 (ATCC TIB-30) does not express Thy-1.2 antigen. The line was selected by 5 cycles of immunoselection using anti Thy-1 antiserum and complement. This cell line is a Class A Thy-1- mutant. The defect affects the biosysnthesis and/or assembly of the glycophospholipid membrane anchor. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
