| Karyotype: | This is a hypertetraploid human cell line. The modal chromosome number was 97, occurring in 48% of cells. The rate of cells with higher ploidies was 2%. Three markers were common to all cells. They are: ?del(6) (q21), t(7;7), and an unidentifiable M5. The der(6) generally had three copies per cell, and the i(7q), two copies. The majority of normal chromosomes had 4 copies per cell. N8, N17, N19 and N20 had more than 4 copies in many cells. The X and Y chromosomes were two copies each per cell. Neither HSR chromosomes nor DMs were detected. |

| Subculturing: | Cultures are maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Establish new cultures at 5 X 105 viable cells/mL and subculture at between 1 and 2 X 106 cells/mL.
