Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country. |
| Applications: | The antibody reacts specifically with the 28000 dalton polypeptide of the chloroplast thylakoid. This antibody and that of MLH1 (see ATCC CRL-1766) may be useful in studies of the LHC-II gene family (Cab) and in studying the photoregulation of the Cab genes in chloroplast development. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
| Storage Conditions: | liquid nitrogen vapor phase |
| Derivation: | Animals were immunized with purified LHC-II. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. |
| Genes Expressed: | immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against the light harvesting chlorophyll a/b protein complex (LHC-II) of higher plants |
| Cellular Products: | immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against the light harvesting chlorophyll a/b protein complex (LHC-II) of higher plants |
| Tumorigenic: | Yes |
| Effects: | Yes, in BALB/c mice |

| Complete Growth Medium: | The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Iscoves Modified Dulbeccos Medium, Catalog No. 30-2005. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium:
|
| Subculturing: | Scrape attached cells. Cultures can be maintained by addition of fresh medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 x 105 viable cells/mL. Maintain cultures at a cell concentration between 1 x 105 and 1 x 106 cells/mL. Do not allow the cell concentration to exceed 1 x 106 cells/mL. Medium Renewal: Two to three times weekly |
| Cryopreservation: | Complete growth medium described above supplemented with 5% (v/v) DMSO.xa0 Cell culture tested DMSO is available as ATCC Catalog No. 4-X. |
| Culture Conditions: | Temperature: 37°C
Atmosphere: Air, 95%; Carbon dioxide (CO2), 5% |
| Isotype: | IgG1 |
