| Applications: | The antibody reacts with type II PtdIns 4-kinase from bovine brain. The antibody can be used for immunoprecipitation applications and to inhibit thpe II PtdIns 4-kinase activity. |
| Derivation: | Animals were immunized with partially purified type II phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase (PtdIns 4-kinase) from bovine brain. Lymph node cells were fused with Sp2/0 mouse myeloma cells. |
| Genes Expressed: | immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against type II phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase (PtdIns 4-kinase) from bovine brain |
| Cellular Products: | immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against type II phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase (PtdIns 4-kinase) from bovine brain |
| Comments: | Animals were immunized with partially purified type II phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase (PtdIns 4-kinase) from bovine brain. Lymph node cells were fused with Sp2/0 mouse myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with type II PtdIns 4-kinase from bovine brain. The antibody causes greater than 90% inhibition of type II PtdIns 4-kinase from bovine brain, rat brain and human erythrocytes. It causes 46% inhibition of type II PtdIns 4-kinase from Xenopus laevis oocytes. It fails to inhibit type III PtdIns 4-kinase from bovine brain or PtdIns 3-kinase from rat liver. The antibody can be used for immunoprecipitation applications and to inhibit thpe II PtdIns 4-kinase activity. |
| Complete Growth Medium: | The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium, ATCC 30-2001. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (ATCC 30-2020) to a final concentration of 10%.
|
| Subculturing: | Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density) Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml. Maintain cell density between 5 X 10 exp4 and 1 X 10 exp6 viable cells/ml. |
| Cryopreservation: | culture medium 95%; DMSO, 5% |
| Culture Conditions: | Temperature: 37.0°C |
| Isotype: | IgG1; kappa light chain |
