Cell Type: hybridoma: B lymphocyte
Product Format: frozen
Morphology: lymphoblast
Culture Properties: suspension
Biosafety Level: 1

Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country.

Applications:
Spleen cells were fused with HL-1 Friendly myeloma cells (a derivative of P3X63Ag8.653 that is deficient in both hypoxanthine phosphoribosyl transferase HPRT and adenine phosphoribosyl transferase APRT).
The antibody can be used for ELISA, immunoprecipitation and Western blot applications.
Storage Conditions: liquid nitrogen vapor phase
Derivation:
Spleen cells were fused with HL-1 Friendly myeloma cells (a derivative of P3X63Ag8.653 that is deficient in both hypoxanthine phosphoribosyl transferase HPRT and adenine phosphoribosyl transferase APRT).
Genes Expressed:
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against the murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) m144 heavy chain
Cellular Products:
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against the murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) m144 heavy chain
Comments:
Animals were immunized with a gel slice of the m144 heavy chain and boosted two times.
Spleen cells were fused with HL-1 Friendly myeloma cells (a derivative of P3X63Ag8.653 that is deficient in both hypoxanthine phosphoribosyl transferase HPRT and adenine phosphoribosyl transferase APRT).
The antibody recognizes the murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) m144 heavy chain.
The antibody can be used for ELISA, immunoprecipitation and Western blot applications.
Complete Growth Medium: HL-1 medium supplemented with 4 mM L-glutamine, 1 mM sodium pyruvate and 1% fetal bovine serum. HL-1 medium can be obtained from from Lonza (catalog number 77201).
Subculturing: Cultures can be maintained by addition of fresh Medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 to 2 x 105 viable cells/mL.xa0 Maintain cultures at a cell concentration between 1 x 105 and 1 x 106 cells/mL.

Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density)
Cryopreservation: HL-1 Complete Serum-free medium described above supplemented with 10% (v/v) fetal bovine serum and 5% (v/v) DMSO. Cell culture tested DMSO is available as ATCC Catalog No. 4-X.
Culture Conditions:
Temperature: 37°C
Atmosphere: Air, 95%; Carbon dioxide (CO2), 5%
Isotype: IgG1
