| Comments: | The level of expression from this clone is several thousand times greater than that of vP-11 (ATCC VR-2045). A recombinant of vaccinia (VTK-79) containing the HBV gene from ATCC 39735 and expresses HBV surface antigen. This clone expresses HBsAg and can be used in the production of antibodies against this protein. A HindIII fragment encoding HBsAg was cloned into VTK-79 (ATCC VR-2031) by in vivo recombination. |
